Victoria Milburn

Victoria Milburn has lived in Gateshead all her life, apart from the time spent in Norwich studying for her degree in History of Art. After completing her degree, she worked for the Fine Art Auctioneers Anderson and Garland. In 2003 she was diagnosed as bipolar and since then has worked in a voluntary position for Oxfam Bookshop in Newcastle, as well as attending writing classes run by the poet Kathleen Kenny.

She has always enjoyed reading and writing. Her favourite authors include Angela Carter and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. She enjoys a wide range of poets from Ted Hughes to Kathleen Jamie.
